Injection guide: week 7

Remove the pen cap from your KwikPen and attach a new pen needle. Then, after priming the pen, inject 5.0 mg once this week. Remove the used pen needle and safely dispose of it in the sharps container.

What to do if you skip a dose

Skipping a week or forgetting to take a dose can happen. Here’s what to do if you miss a dose:

• If it’s been 4 days or less since you missed a dose, take your skipped dose as soon as you remember. Then, take your next dose on your regular schedule.
• If it’s been 4 days or more since you missed a dose, skip that dose altogether. Then, take your next dose on your regular schedule. Do not increase your dose or take an extra one.

If you miss more than two doses in a row, contact your healthcare practitioner - they may advise you to restart at a lower dose.
