Getting the medical services that you need to monitor and improve your overall health is becoming a challenge for patients living in Edmonton. With less than 1 physician per 1,000 patients (0.8/1,000), it’s putting more stress on already overburdened walk-in clinics and emergency rooms.
To make it easier for you to access the medical services that you need, Felix is giving you the freedom to talk to a practitioner from the comfort and privacy of your own home, and schedule your healthcare based on your calendar. Now you can start taking back control of both your health and quality of life on your own terms - the way it should be.
SIDE NOTE: Felix does not offer emergency healthcare services. If you’re dealing with a medical emergency, you should always call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest hospital ER.
Wegovy is actually a brand name for the generic medication semaglutide. Both treatments contain the exact same active ingredient, which is semaglutide.
When you buy Wegovy online in Edmonton from Felix, your treatments will come as a preloaded injection, which you will be able to administer yourself at home.
SIDE NOTE: This involves being approved for a prescription by having a secure online assessment completed, and for a practitioner to determine this is an appropriate treatment for you.
Instructions on how and where to use your injections will be provided with your prescription packaging, as well as discussed with you by your practitioner during your virtual Wegovy consultation.
Since Wegovy is not available in Edmonton as an over-the-counter treatment, the first step towards getting a prescription involves having your health assessed by a licensed healthcare practitioner - like the ones that you can find at Felix.
If you’d like to request a virtual Wegovy consultation to see if a prescription would make sense for you, take a few minutes to complete your assessment today.
One of our practitioners will get back to you as soon as they can (usually within 24 hours), so they can discuss treatment options with you. If you’re approved for it, they can then provide you with an online Wegovy prescription.
The amount that Wegovy costs will depend on a number of outside factors, which make it difficult for us to answer generally.
Things that could impact the price of your Wegovy treatments include whether or not you have any private benefits that will cover getting Wegovy orders in Edmonton, as well as what your individual prescribed dosage is.
Your practitioner will be able to walk you through the expected cost of your Wegovy during your virtual Wegovy consultation, if you’re approved for a prescription during your assessment.
SIDE NOTE: If you choose to get Wegovy through Felix, the cost of delivery in Edmonton is nothing for you. We’ll take care of that cost for you as a thank you for choosing Felix as your telehealth support team.
Sub-copy: Anyone who is over the age of 18 and lives in one of Felix’s serviceable provinces within Canada (i.e., Manitoba, BC, Alberta, Ontario, and Saskatchewan), is able to request a secure online assessment with one of our practitioners.
After that, it will be up to your clinician to determine whether or not Wegovy would make sense for your unique health and medical history, or if an alternative would potentially be safer/more effective for you.
When approved, your practitioner will be able to provide you with the prescription that you need to be able to then get online Wegovy orders in Edmonton from Felix and our pharmacy partners.
Sub-copy: Finding a practitioner in Edmonton who can provide a prescription for Wegovy is as easy as submitting an assessment with Felix, so one of our clinicians can determine if this type of medication is right for you.
It only takes a few minutes of your time to submit a secure online assessment for review, and you can do it anytime that makes sense for your schedule - day or night.
A practitioner from our team will get back to you (typically within 24 hours), so they can discuss their treatment suggestions with you and create a personalized treatment plan.
Sub-copy: This isn’t something we can answer for everyone here at once, because eligibility to get a prescription for Wegovy orders in Edmonton will depend on the recommendations of one of our licensed healthcare practitioners.
They’ll review your unique medical needs to determine what the best course of action would be in regards to managing your overall health, and then they’ll share those recommendations with you during your virtual Wegovy consultation.
If Wegovy is considered a good potential treatment option for you, based on your health assessment, they’ll be able to provide you with the prescription you need to then buy Wegovy orders in Edmonton.
If your practitioner determines that Wegovy is available to you in Edmonton, based on your health and medical history, there will be 4 total steps you’ll go through:
STEP #1: Submit a short online assessment for one of our clinicians to review. This will only take you a few minutes to do, and you can fill it out anytime that works well for you.
STEP #2: The practitioner will review your health and medical history to determine if Wegovy treatments would make sense for you. Usually, they’ll get back to you within 24 hours of you submitting your request.
STEP #3: If approved, you can have Felix’s pharmacy partners prepare your treatments for you, which takes about 2-3 business days.
STEP #4: The final step is for us to deliver your Wegovy in Edmonton (at no cost), so that we can make sure it gets to you quickly and securely. This last step takes roughly 2-3 business days.
Altogether, you may be able to get your Wegovy orders in Edmonton within 5-7 business days from the time you submit your request to Felix for review!

Yes, both Wegovy and semaglutide contain the exact same active ingredient - semaglutide.
Wegovy is just a brand name under which this type of medication is sold, while semaglutide is the generic name for this type of medication.
If you’d like our team to let you know when semaglutide is available in Canada for purchase, join our waitlist, and we’ll send you a notification!
As long as your practitioner tells you that you should stay on it, or for as long as you’re willing to continue your Wegovy treatments.
The fact of the matter is that Wegovy is meant to be used long-term, not just for a couple of months. When you start these types of treatments, there is usually an expectation that you could remain on them indefinitely, if they work well for you.
Be sure to let your clinician know if you’re planning to stop your Wegovy treatments, as they may want to walk you through some additional steps to follow as you discontinue your treatments.
The specific dosing schedule for your Wegovy injections will be discussed with you by your practitioner during your virtual Wegovy consultation, after they’ve reviewed your health assessment information.
It’s important to remember to always follow the instructions that are provided for you on when and how to use your Wegovy injections, so that you can get the best potential results from your treatments.
NEVER take more dosages than you’re supposed to, as it will NOT improve the effects of your online Wegovy orders in Edmonton. In fact, they will increase your risks of negative side effects.
After creating an account, you will complete a medical assessment for evaluation by one of the Felix healthcare practitioners.
During your assessment, you will have the opportunity to send your practitioner questions via secure messaging.
In most cases, practitioners will complete your assessment with secure messaging alone but sometimes they may determine you require an audio or video visit and/or further diagnostic testing to help determine the best treatment plan for you.
If your practitioner has determined a prescription treatment is appropriate, they will approve your visit and write you a prescription. Our pharmacy will then ship your prescription to your home.
You’ll be able to message your healthcare practitioner if you have questions or want to make changes to your treatment at any time.
No. We use an asynchronous telemedicine model so you can complete your online visit in your own time and we save your progress so you can come back later to finish it.
If you are completing a visit in the mental health or weight loss categories, your healthcare practitioner may require a phone or video call to discuss your medical profile further during the assessment process.
Most assessments do not require a phone or video conversation. Once a prescriber has reviewed the info in your assessment they will respond to you via secure instant messages that you can access within your Felix account.
If you are completing a visit in the mental health or weight loss categories, your healthcare practitioner may require a phone or video call to discuss your medical profile further during the assessment process.

The good news is that if you are covered, Felix can bill your insurer directly, and then process your treatment plan at no additional cost to you. Insurance coverage for treatment plans through Felix doesn't include the cost of your visit.
A Felix online visit is considered asynchronous since it is conveniently completed through a secure chat bases system. Currently, asynchronous visits are not covered by insurance or provincial health plans so you will be charged a visit fee, depending on the category of treatment you are requesting.
Medication coverage varies greatly between different plans, provinces, and has specific criteria that determine eligibility. For private insurance, we recommend contacting your benefits administrator with your details and the Drug Identification Number (DIN) and the drug name to determine your coverage.

No. Felix provides a faster, hassle-free way for you to get a treatment plan for certain conditions, but our service does not replace your primary care provider. For matters that extend beyond obtaining a lifestyle treatment safely and easily, we encourage you to consult your primary health practitioner in person — whether for checkups, personal health concerns, or to inform them about your current treatments or treatment plans.
Absolutely. Our online assessments have been designed to ask all the necessary questions required for diagnosis. We've worked with specialists to create an assessment process that can provide sufficient information for the healthcare practitioner to determine whether or not you are eligible for a prescription and craft an appropriate treatment plan.
Call 911 or proceed to your nearest emergency room immediately. Felix is not intended for medical emergencies. Once the emergency has been addressed or resolved, contact your prescribing practitioner to inform them of your experience as this may impact your current treatment plan.
Anyone who is 18 years or older (16 or older for acne and birth control prescriptions), and is located in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan or Ontario. We cannot ship treatments outside of these provinces at this time.
Your Felix practitioner will message you via secure instant message. You’ll receive an email when you have a new message and can respond to these from within your Felix account.
You will have the ability to chat with your designated Felix practitioner for the entirety of your prescription length. When your prescription is nearing completion, we will email you to submit a checkup visit so one of our prescribers can renew your prescription.
Our matching system is based on availability, so we can’t guarantee you’ll be paired with the same healthcare practitioner at your renewal visit.
They are all licensed, real Canadian healthcare practitioners! All online visits submitted via Felix are reviewed by them and they must be licensed in your province to prescribe you the medication. It is these healthcare practitioners, and not Felix, who determine whether or not to write you a prescription, as well as the appropriate dosage (where applicable).
Our medical team and board members help oversee each of our treatments to ensure our medical assessments are thorough, safe, personalized, and provide best-in-class care. Our pharmacists provide treatment support through medication counselling and education.
