Did you know that the provincial health registry used to help connect patients with practitioners is now booking years ahead, not just months? This can make it quite daunting thinking about seeking the medical services you need to stay healthy and active.

This way, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful views, while also taking back control of your health, so you can get back to living life on your terms – the way it should be.

SIDE NOTE: Felix does not offer emergency healthcare services. If you’re dealing with a medical emergency, you should always call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest hospital ER.

General Information

Saxenda is actually a brand name, believe it or not, for a medication called liraglutide. However, both liraglutide (the generic name) and Saxenda, contain the same active ingredients.

Saxenda treatments are designed to be used alongside other healthy lifestyle habits to help provide the best overall health results, such as: a well-balanced diet, regular exercise, and regular, healthy sleep patterns.

When you buy Saxenda online in Vancouver from Felix, your prescription packaging will include instructions on how to use your treatments, but if you have any other questions about Saxenda treatments or how they work, feel free to ask your practitioner during your assessment discussion.

If you’re interested in getting Saxenda online in Vancouver from Felix, you’ll need to get a prescription first, because these types of treatments aren’t available over-the-counter.

To begin, submit a secure online assessment to Felix, and one of our practitioners will get back to you as soon as they can to review your health and needs with you, so they can provide custom-tailored treatment suggestions.

If they believe that online Saxenda orders in Vancouver are right for you, they’ll be able to provide you with the prescription that you need to then start the ordering process through Felix and our pharmacy partners.

It’s difficult to generalize discussions about the cost of Saxenda treatments, because they can vary pretty drastically from pharmacy-to-pharmacy across Canada. What we can assure you is that our team works hard to provide our patients with affordable prices for Saxenda orders in Vancouver.

It’s also good to note that certain other factors can impact the cost of your Saxenda, such as the prescribed dosage that’s suggested by your practitioner, as well as whether or not you have any insurance coverage to buy Saxenda online in Vancouver from Felix.

Not to worry, though, because your practitioner will be able to go through the expected cost of your Saxenda treatments during your assessment discussion, factoring in these other elements for you to give you an accurate price estimate.

Sub-copy: This is actually two different questions. In order to be eligible to request an assessment from Felix, you need to be over the age of 18 and live within Vancouver.

If you meet those criteria, then the next question becomes whether or not Saxenda treatments would be the right type of medication for you, or whether an alternative might make more sense for your unique needs.

It will be up to your practitioner to determine whether online Saxenda orders in Vancouver from Felix make sense for you, and if so, they can provide you with the prescription you need to start the online ordering process.

Sub-copy: If you’re looking for clinicians who can prescribe Saxenda online in Vancouver, you’ve come to the right place.

Felix is making the process of requesting a prescription as hassle-free as possible for our patients all across Canada.

Start by filling out a secure online assessment, and one of our practitioners will get back to you (typically within 24 hours), to walk you through their treatment recommendations with you.

When online Saxenda orders in Vancouver are considered a good choice for your overall treatment plan, your practitioner will be able to provide you with a prescription for it.

Sub-copy: This really depends on your individualized health needs, because like with any medication, Saxenda won’t be right for everyone.

Start by completing your short online assessment, so that one of our practitioners can review your health and medical history to determine what the most effective/safe treatment options would be for you.

Your practitioner will get back to you as soon as they can to go over treatment recommendations with you, and if they believe Saxenda treatments could be beneficial for you, they’ll be able to write you a prescription for it.

When Saxenda is available to you in Vancouver with Felix, you’ll go through 4 simple steps from the time you start your virtual Saxenda consultation request until the time of delivery. These steps include:

STEP #1: Begin by completing a short online assessment, whenever it makes sense for you. It takes just a few minutes to fill out, and you can do it anytime – day or night.

STEP #2: A practitioner from our team will review your request, as well as your health information to determine the best treatment options for you. Usually, they’ll get back to your request within 24 hours.

STEP #3: For patients that are approved to buy Saxenda online in Vancouver from Felix, our pharmacy partners will be happy to prepare your treatment for you, which takes roughly 2-3 business days.

STEP #4: Last, we’ll deliver your Saxenda from Felix in Vancouver (at no cost), so that we can help ensure timely, secure delivery for your treatments. This final step takes around 2-3 more business days.

In total, when Saxenda is available to you in Vancouver, you could be starting your treatments within 5-7 business days from the time you submit your request!

Liraglutide is the generic name for Saxenda treatments, while Saxenda is a brand name under which liraglutide is sold.

Both of these treatments contain the same active ingredients, but it will be up to your practitioner to determine which of these two (or an alternative) would be the right type of treatment for you.

Nothing instantaneous or dangerous, so it’s important not to panic if you’ve missed a dose of Saxenda.

If you remember about the missed dose within a day or two of the date it would have normally been taken, you should take it as soon as you remember. If it’s any closer than that to your next scheduled dosage, you should simply skip the missed dose and take the next one at its regular time.

This is because it could be unsafe to take two doses of Saxenda too close together, and it definitely will NOT increase the effectiveness of your treatments. In fact, it will largely just increase your risks of experiencing negative side effects.

If you’ve missed a dose, and you’re unsure about how to proceed, you should consider contacting your practitioner for more information. They’ll be able to give you whatever guidance you need to continue making healthy, safe choices with your treatments.

Yes, in the event that Saxenda is not available in Saxenda from Felix for your during your assessment discussion, your practitioner may suggest alternatives that may be either safer or more effective treatment options for you, such as:

  • Ozempic
  • Semaglutide
  • Tirzepatide
  • Liraglutide

During your virtual Saxenda consultation, your clinician will discuss with you what treatments would make the most sense for you, when you can’t buy Saxenda online in Vancouver from Felix.

Online Visits

No. A visit with a licensed healthcare practitioner is required for all treatments currently provided through Felix’s service.

No. We use an asynchronous telemedicine model so you can complete your online visit in your own time and we save your progress so you can come back later to finish it.

If you are completing a visit in the mental health or weight loss categories, your healthcare practitioner may require a phone or video call to discuss your medical profile further during the assessment process.

Most assessments do not require a phone or video conversation. Once a prescriber has reviewed the info in your assessment they will respond to you via secure instant messages that you can access within your Felix account.

If you are completing a visit in the mental health or weight loss categories, your healthcare practitioner may require a phone or video call to discuss your medical profile further during the assessment process.

After creating an account, you will complete a medical assessment for evaluation by one of the Felix healthcare practitioners.

During your assessment, you will have the opportunity to send your practitioner questions via secure messaging.

In most cases, practitioners will complete your assessment with secure messaging alone but sometimes they may determine you require an audio or video visit and/or further diagnostic testing to help determine the best treatment plan for you.

If your practitioner has determined a prescription treatment is appropriate, they will approve your visit and write you a prescription. Our pharmacy will then ship your prescription to your home.

You’ll be able to message your healthcare practitioner if you have questions or want to make changes to your treatment at any time.

You can expect to receive a response from a healthcare practitioner within 48 hours of submission.  Delays may occur at high volume periods or over statutory holidays – we thank you for your patience and look forward to supporting you.

Great, you’ve already taken the first step! Next, a healthcare practitioner will review your assessment and if necessary, will send you a link to book an online audio or video appointment with them. This appointment will help them determine the best treatment plan for you. If your healthcare practitioner thinks you will benefit from an available medication, they will write you a prescription. Our pharmacy can ship your medication to your home if you would like your medication dispensed through the Felix Pharmacy network.

There is currently no cost to have your medication sent to you from our Felix Pharmacy network.

Your tracking number will be activated when the courier picks up your shipment from the pharmacy. Please allow until 6 pm the following business day, and you should then be able to see the status of your package. We’ll contact you via email if your package is returned to us!

For most treatments, your meds will be destroyed 1 month after your fill date should you fail to respond to Felix Customer Support or contact the partner pharmacy. Temperature controlled medications may have a reduced reshipment eligibility window due to their limited shelf life, in accordance with product guidelines. All reshipments are at the discretion of a pharmacist’s professional judgment.

If you require assistance with a returned package, please reach out to our Patient Support team through the chat bubble in the bottom right corner.

Depending on your province of residence and the treatment being dispensed, your Felix packages may require a signature on delivery. If you don’t pick up your package within the allotted time, it will be returned to the sender, which may cause a further delay in your delivery.

Status updates for your prescription will appear in the Upcoming tab. You’ll be able to see if your prescription is being processed by our pharmacists or if it’s en route for delivery.

Refill schedule (drug dependent)

Yes, the pharmacy will process your prescription to account for any expected delays due to the holiday season.

Insurance

Treatment coverage varies greatly between different insurance plans.

The good news is that if you are covered, Felix can bill your insurer directly, and then process your treatment plan at no additional cost to you. We recommend that you upload your private and/or provincial benefit card during the online visit so that our pharmacy partner can apply any coverage you are eligible for before processing your treatment plan.

Insurance coverage for treatment plans through Felix doesn’t include the cost of your visit.

Go to Billing where you can add or update your insurance information on file.

You will find the official receipt for your medication costs within your package from the pharmacy. This receipt can be used to submit a manual claim directly to your insurance/benefits provider. Future refills will be direct-billed directly to your insurance provider, once you have uploaded your insurance information from the Billing tab of your account.

The coverage you are eligible for will not be deducted until the pharmacy processes your refill, so the price you see in your profile is the estimated maximum medication cost before benefits. Once the pharmacy ships your meds, the actual cost will be displayed for the respective refill.

OHIP+ covers some birth control for eligible residents of Ontario who are under 25 years old and do not have private insurance. You can check if your birth control medication is covered here. Make sure to upload your Ontario health card during your online visit so our pharmacy partners can apply your coverage directly.

Medication coverage varies greatly between different plans, provinces, and has specific criteria that determine eligibility. For private insurance, we recommend contacting your benefits administrator with your details and the Drug Identification Number (DIN) and the drug name to determine your coverage.

Currently, asynchronous visits are not covered by insurance or provincial health plans so you will be charged a visit fee, depending on the category of treatment you are requesting.

Yes, but at the discretion of our medical team. Please submit your insurance request form here. If the healthcare practitioner agrees to complete the form, a $35 fee per insurance form will apply. Felix 101

Absolutely. Our online assessments have been designed to ask all the necessary questions required for diagnosis. We’ve worked with specialists to create an assessment process that can provide sufficient information for the healthcare practitioner to determine whether or not you are eligible for a prescription and craft an appropriate treatment plan.

No. Felix provides a faster, hassle-free way for you to get a treatment plan for certain conditions, but our service does not replace your primary care provider. For matters that extend beyond obtaining a lifestyle treatment safely and easily, we encourage you to consult your primary health practitioner in person — whether for checkups, personal health concerns, or to inform them about your current treatments or treatment plans.

Call 911 or proceed to your nearest emergency room immediately. Felix is not intended for medical emergencies. Once the emergency has been addressed or resolved, contact your prescribing practitioner to inform them of your experience as this may impact your current treatment plan.

Felix is Canada’s first truly integrated healthcare platform. We provide on-demand treatment for everyday health needs like weight loss, mental health, sexual health, and more. Founded in 2019, our digital-first approach to healthcare includes everything from diagnosis to prescription — all accessible from the comfort of home.

Anyone who is 18 years or older (16 or older for acne and birth control prescriptions), and is located in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan or Ontario. We cannot ship treatments outside of these provinces at this time.

Our Healthcare Practitioners

You will have the ability to chat with your designated Felix practitioner for the entirety of your prescription length. When your prescription is nearing completion, we will email you to submit a checkup visit so one of our prescribers can renew your prescription.

Our matching system is based on availability, so we can’t guarantee you’ll be paired with the same healthcare practitioner at your renewal visit.

Felix practitioners are unable to make referrals at this time. We suggest you speak with your family doctor or local walk-in clinic.

Your Felix practitioner will message you via secure instant message. You’ll receive an email when you have a new message and can respond to these from within your Felix account.

Our medical team and board members help oversee each of our treatments to ensure our medical assessments are thorough, safe, personalized, and provide best-in-class care. Our pharmacists provide treatment support through medication counselling and education.

They are all licensed, real Canadian healthcare practitioners! All online visits submitted via Felix are reviewed by them and they must be licensed in your province to prescribe you the medication. It is these healthcare practitioners, and not Felix, who determine whether or not to write you a prescription, as well as the appropriate dosage (where applicable).
